Big 12 Championship Tickets

Big 12 Championship trophy

The race for the Big 12 Championship title has kicked off with all schools dying to get their hands on the final Big 12 Championship football game. The Colorado Buffaloes and the Nebraska Huskers have joined up with the PAC-10 and the Big Ten respectively and will be giving it their all to secure the much sought after title one final time before moving on. There will be only 10 teams in the division come 2011 which means the Big 12 will not be required by NCAA rules to play a championship game at the end of the season.

The Big 12 Championship game first began in 1996 with the game being a battle between the winners of the Big 12 North division champion against the South division champion. The most popular location for the Big 12 championship has been at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. This year the match has been awarded to the new Cowboys stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The most likely challengers for the Big 12 from the North Division will most certainly be the Nebraska Cornhuskers, who narrowly missed out last season and the Missouri Tigers with the K-State Wildcats providing healthy competition. Nebraska Huskers are tipped to take the North Division with ease though. The Texas Longhorns along with the Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma State Cowboys will lead the charge to become the Big 12 South Division champions with the Longhorns and the Sooners expected to fight it out between themselves to determine the top spot.

Nebraska Huskers who are leaving the Big 12 to join up with the Big 10 look set to terrorize teams with their defense which is probably the best in the country. If the Huskers get some much needed stability at the quarterback position, there is no limit to what this team can achieve with their rushing attacks. They will probably sign off with style defeating whoever comes their way at the Big 12 championship game.

The South division looks tight with the two teams from Oklahoma and the Texas longhorns pitted against each other. The Sooners will be highly motivated this term after a nasty shoulder injury to quarterback Sam Bradford ruined their past season. The Cowboys boast the best offense in the country but the defense does not seem to be strong enough. The reigning Big 12 Champions, the Texas Longhorns are tipped to win the division if QB Garrett Gilbert can play well but are predicted to lose out on the championship game to the Huskers.

All in all, the Big 12 championship looks set to be a spectacular event with Nebraska Huskers, Texas Longhorns, Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State Cowboys all in contention. Get your Big 12 championship tickets now and be a part of history as the Big 12 Championship football game kicks off for one final time on the 4th of December 2010 from Dallas, Texas. The winner will most likely go on to the BCS National Championship game, so grab your Big 12 Championship tickets now and be a part of the spectacle!

With a horrid 2010 season, Mac Brown and the Longhorns fall completely off the map after appearing in the BCS National Championship game last year. Texas A&M came out of nowhere to give Oklahoma and Oklahoma State a run for their money in the South, while Nebraska holds on to beat Missouri in the North. The Oklahoma Sooners beat the OSU Cowboys Saturday night to move up the BCS rankings to the number 9 spot. That put them ahead of Oklahoma State (#14) and the Aggies (#18) to play Nebraska in the Big 12 Championship.
